"Your dress. Nobody else's at your school!"
Getting to us from St Albans
A little over eight miles, about twenty minutes by car. From the city centre it is Holywell Hill and St Stephen’s Hill onto Watling Street, then the A414 westbound, off at Breakspear Way and along St Albans Road into Hemel. There is no motorway involved. Girls come to us from St Albans itself and from Harpenden, Redbourn, London Colney, Chiswell Green, Bricket Wood, Park Street, Wheathampstead, Sandridge and Colney Heath.
There is no direct train. St Albans City to Hemel Hempstead needs two changes, so driving is far simpler.

Come and lock your dress for prom night. We sell each style to only one girl at each school. Once a style is registered to your school it is closed to everyone else there, which is why the girls who come early have the most to choose from.
Every year we look for Prom Ambassadors — girls in Year 11 and Year 13 who love the whole business of getting ready and want to be part of ours. Applications for 2027 are open now, and we would be delighted to hear from girls at any of the schools named on this page. Apply to be a Prom Ambassador.
What girls in St Albans are choosing
St Albans girls have been the most individual on the register this season — at one school not a single colour was repeated across the whole year group. Hot pink, raspberry, champagne, yellow and wine have all been chosen, and the appetite for something nobody else has picked is noticeably stronger here than elsewhere.
Doing it in one visit
Plenty of girls do the whole thing in a single visit. They arrive knowing roughly what they are looking for, try on a handful and choose on the day. Where it suits, we can also look at sending the dress to you by secure courier rather than you making the journey back for it — it is worth asking your stylist about at the fitting. Alterations would then be arranged locally.
The 2027 collection
Hundreds of exclusive styles, sizes 4XS to 14W, from £199. Ball gowns, fitted and mermaid, A-line, sequin and embellished, satin and couture — styles you will not find on the St Albans high street, and never sold twice into the same school.
Questions we are asked by St Albans families
Is it quicker on the A414 or the M25?
The A414 through Watling Street. The M25 route is longer in both distance and time from almost everywhere in St Albans.
Can we come straight from school on a weekday?
Yes. Weekday appointments run into the evening, and the drive is short and straightforward, so an after-school fitting is easy to reach.
Do many girls from our school come to you?
More than you might think. The popular styles at each St Albans school start closing early in the season, which is exactly why coming early matters.
What if she needs the dress altering?
Alterations are booked as a separate short appointment. It is one more trip to Hemel, which from St Albans is the easiest part of the whole process.
