"Your dress. Nobody else's at your school!"
Getting to us from Hemel Hempstead
Girls come to us after school, on a Saturday morning with their mums, and quite often twice in the same week — once to look and once to decide. If you are coming from Adeyfield, Bennetts End, Leverstock Green, Boxmoor, Apsley, Gadebridge or Chaulden you are close by, and Kings Langley, Berkhamsted, Bovingdon and Tring are all a short drive.
If you are arriving by train, Hemel Hempstead station is on London Road in Boxmoor, a little over a mile from the boutique — a short walk, bus or taxi ride.
Schools we work with in Hemel Hempstead
The secondary schools in Hemel Hempstead whose girls we would like to hear from:
- Abbot’s Hill School
- John F Kennedy Catholic School
- Laureate Academy
- Longdean School
- The Adeyfield Academy
- The Astley Cooper School
- The Hemel Hempstead School
- Westbrook Hay
Come and lock your dress for prom night. We sell each style to only one girl at each school. Once a style is registered to your school it is closed to everyone else there, which is why the girls who come early have the most to choose from.
Every year we look for Prom Ambassadors — girls in Year 11 and Year 13 who love the whole business of getting ready and want to be part of ours. Applications for 2027 are open now, and we would be delighted to hear from girls at any of the schools named on this page. Apply to be a Prom Ambassador.
What girls in Hemel Hempstead are choosing
Hemel schools have been the boldest on our register this season. Deep reds and royal blues lead, with navy close behind, and wine has quietly become one of the most asked-for shades of the year. Yellow, olive and lemon are the outliers, chosen by the girls who want to stand apart in the group photographs — and they are the ones who do.
Doing it in one visit
Plenty of girls do the whole thing in a single visit. They arrive knowing roughly what they are looking for, try on a handful and choose on the day. Where it suits, we can also look at sending the dress to you by secure courier rather than you making the journey back for it — it is worth asking your stylist about at the fitting. Alterations would then be arranged locally.
The 2027 collection
Hundreds of exclusive styles, sizes 4XS to 14W, from £199. Ball gowns, fitted and mermaid silhouettes, A-line, sequin and embellished, satin, and our couture pieces. Every dress is registered to a school when it is bought, and we will not sell the same style twice into the same school.
Questions we are asked by Hemel Hempstead families
We live nearby. Do we still need an appointment?
Yes, please book one. Appointments are free and last a full hour, one-to-one with a stylist, and booking is the only way we can hold that hour for you. Walk-ins during prom season often mean waiting.
Can she come back a second time before deciding?
Most girls do, and we would rather she did. Book a second appointment the same way. The first visit is for narrowing it down; the second is usually the one where she knows.
How early should a Year 11 girl come in?
Autumn and early winter, if you can. Around half of all our bookings are made in January, so by February the most popular styles at each school have often gone.
What happens if someone else at her school wants the same dress?
We will not sell it to her. Once a style is registered to your school it is closed to everyone else there — that is the whole point of the Prom Promise.
