Getting to us from Barnet
Just under sixteen miles from High Barnet, and up to about twenty-two from the far side of the borough in Finchley — roughly half an hour by car. Out of High Barnet on St Albans Road, a short stretch of the M25, then the A414 into Hemel. Whichever way you come, the last stretch is a run of roundabouts along St Albans Road into the town centre. Girls come to us from High Barnet, New Barnet, East Barnet, Finchley, Mill Hill, Whetstone, Totteridge, Hendon and Edgware.
There is no direct train. New Barnet to Hemel Hempstead needs two changes, so driving is far simpler.

Come and lock your dress for prom night. We sell each style to only one girl at each school. Once a style is registered to your school it is closed to everyone else there, which is why the girls who come early have the most to choose from.
Every year we look for Prom Ambassadors — girls in Year 11 and Year 13 who love the whole business of getting ready and want to be part of ours. Applications for 2027 are open now, and we would be delighted to hear from girls at any of the schools named on this page. Apply to be a Prom Ambassador.

Navy leads across the register, then royal blue, wine, black and red, with yellow, emerald, champagne and teal the choices that stand out most in a group photograph.
Doing it in one visit
Plenty of girls do the whole thing in a single visit. They arrive knowing roughly what they are looking for, try on a handful and choose on the day. Where it suits, we can also look at sending the dress to you by secure courier rather than you making the journey back for it — it is worth asking your stylist about at the fitting. Alterations would then be arranged locally.

Questions we are asked by Barnet families
Why come out to Hertfordshire?
Because we register every dress to a school and will not sell the same style twice into it. The dress your daughter chooses is hers at her prom — a promise very few shops make.
Is it an easy drive?
Most of it is open road — a short stretch of the M25, then the A414 — rather than a Saturday on the North Circular. The roads are set out above so you can judge it yourself.
Does my daughter’s school have its own register?
Yes. Every school is held separately, so a dress registered at one Barnet school has no bearing on another. The earlier in the season she comes, the wider the choice on her school’s register.
Can she come after school?
Yes. Weekday appointments run into the evening, and the drive is against the traffic at that hour.

Appointments are free and last an hour, one-to-one with a stylist, at our boutique at Unit 7 Riverside, Hemel Hempstead. Sizes run from 4XS to 14W and prices start at £199. A £99 deposit holds the dress, and the balance can be spread over interest-free instalments, completed before she collects it.
